Dmytro Osychniuk is a Ukrainian singer, harmonica player, songwriter and music director. He is the founder and frontman of the band SPIV BRATIV, known for its powerful harmonies, emotionally charged performances, and modern interpretations of Ukrainian folk and contemporary music.
Dmytro has been playing the harmonica for over ten years, focusing on bringing this instrument into the spotlight of Ukrainian music culture. He actively promotes the harmonica in Ukraine through solo projects and online platforms, performing both Ukrainian traditional songs and global hits.
With SPIV BRATIV and other ensembles, he has participated in numerous international festivals and TV shows, earning awards such as:
• Grand Prix at “Slovakia Cantat” (2013)
• Gold at “Praga Cantat” (2014, 2019) and “Golden Voices of Montserrat” (2018)
• Finalist in “One Family” TV show (2013)
• Semifinalist on “Ukraine’s Got Talent” (2014)
• Finalist in “The Global Battle of the Bands” Ukraine (2016)
• National attention as contestants on “The Voice” Ukraine (2022)
Dmytro studied pop singing at Cherkasy Music College (2010–2014) and earned a degree in Art Theory and History from the National Academy of Fine Arts andArchitecture (2011-2015).
Today, he continues to contribute to the revival and development of Ukrainian music by creating new arrangements, mentoring other musicians, and launching innovative projects, such as the first-ever harmonica quartet in Ukraine.
