Paulo Lessa

Harmonicist,Songwriter,Music Producer e Music Teacher

Paulo Lessa is a music producer and multi-instrumentalist whose main instrument is the chromatic harmonica.He is the owner of Zero dB Studio (Brasilia),where he has been producing artists and his own work since 2011,performing musical arrangement,recording,editing and audio mixing work.He has worked with artists such as Mash (US),Janaina Goulart (BR/US)and in collaboration with Rodney Alejandro(US).

As a composer he works in several areas.He has two albums of songs (Lado Alado -2018 and Lado Alado ao Vivo -2022),and several soundtracks for documentary,theater and dance shows.In 2023 he released his third album (A Travessia)based on the original soundtrack of the show of the same name,by Juana Miranda.The show has already been presented in Brazil and Greece.

With a degree in music from the University of Brasilia,he has been working as a teacher since 2011.He wrote the textbook Manual da Gaita Cromatica (Chromatic Harmonica Manual)in 2020 and has been dedicating himself to teaching the harmonica since then,through his school Harmonica Online and at the Escola de Choro Raphael Rabello (Choro Music School)at the Clube do Choro in Brasilia.With a strong digital presence,it currently has more than 200 students on its online harmonica school (Harmonica Online)course in addition to the thousands of students who learn for free through YouTube.

In 2024 he released the album Papo de Roda with the group Choro Raiz.This album recorded great choro composers from Brazilian music such as Jacob do Bandolim,Dominguinhos and Waldir Azevedo,as well as an unreleased composition by Lessa.This album highlights the virtuosity of soloists Paulo Lessa (chromatic harmonica)and Felipe Nunes Guimaraes (Mandolin). Lessa captured,edited and mixed all the tracks.Mastering was done by Dudu Maia.
