Congratulations on the successful opening ceremony of the East Harmonica Museum

On the afternoon of August 15, 2020, hosted by the Propaganda Department of the Jiangyin Municipal Committee of the Communist Party of China, the Jiangyin Municipal Bureau of Culture, Sports, Radio, Film and Tourism and the Zhutang Town Committee of the Jiangyin City of the Communist Party of China, organized by the Harmonica Professional Committee of the Chinese Popular Music Association, Jiangsu Huiwen Cultural Development Co., Ltd., Jiangsu The opening ceremony of the Oriental Harmonica Museum jointly co-organized by East Musical Instruments Co., Ltd. and Xinhua News Media Group Jiangnan Times was held in Jiangyin, Jiangsu (East Musical & Huiwen Culture Company).

The East Harmonica Museum is jointly built by the Harmonica Professional Committee of the China Popular Music Association, Jiangsu Huiwen Cultural Development Co., Ltd., and Jiangsu East Musical Instruments Co., Ltd., with a building area of 1,200 square meters. Entering the Eastl Harmonica Museum, the four treasures of the town hall are eye-catching. They are all orphan harmonicas that have survived in China. The pagoda brand harmonica produced by China New Musical Instrument Manufacturing Company on March 3, 1933 is the first made in China. Harmonica; China’s first chromatic key-tone harmonica, mass brand, complete box piano, produced in 1954 by the Central Harmonica Factory. China's first chord harmonica was specially made by Guoguang, produced by China New Musical Instrument Manufacturing Company in 1937. The most precious thing is the harmonica presented to Ms. Deng Yingchao by international friends, which has been preserved for 60 years.

As a rich and heavy cultural carrier, the museum is the solidification of history and the embodiment of civilization. The East Harmonica Museum has a collection of more than 200 years, including more than 3,000 harmonica objects including the world’s orphans, as well as more than 2,000 harmonica books, newspapers, magazines, and audiovisual products in various periods. The scale of the exhibition hall is the largest in the world. Its establishment is a milestone for the harmonica industry in China and even the world, and it will become a highlight in the history of the world harmonica. The East Harmonica Museum will inevitably give full play to its role as a cultural carrier, and provide a platform for learning and exchanges for musicians and music fans all over the world to deeply understand the evolution of harmonica and to protect and inherit the harmonica culture. At the same time, it will also play a positive role in promoting local civilized practices, building high-quality cultural brands, and developing foreign cultural exchanges.
